Evann Reichenbach LCSW-C

I am a licensed clinical social worker serving the state of Maryland. I have over ten years of experience in the field and advanced training in trauma psychotherapy.

Seeking professional help can often seem overwhelming and frankly very invasive. You may be questioning whether therapy will be helpful in your current circumstances or you may be questioning whether therapy is even helpful at all. I would love to partner with you in your therapeutic journey and assist with bringing hope and healing to your life. I practice primarily through a trauma- informed strengths based approach. I enjoy using art and other expressive modalities during therapy when appropriate. I also incorporate CBT and solution-focused approaches.

I believe that by helping clients understand how past experiences have impacted their thought processes and patterns of behavior, we can work toward improving the use of appropriate and safe coping skills and improve overall quality of life. I am open to working with all client populations who feel they could benefit from teletherapy.

Over the last 10 years, I have had the opportunity to engage with children and families over a variety of different roles. I have provided intense short-term interventions along with long term interventions to assist with chronic concerns to include adjustment disorder, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and substance abuse disorders.  Through engagement, psychoeducation, treatment planning, and connection I am able to help individuals lessen their anxieties/stressors and build self confidence, strengths, and autonomy in their lives.

If you are interested in engaging therapeutic services, I encourage you to take this courageous step and engage in healing!

I am a licensed clinical social worker, who has worked in the mental health field since 2008. In that time I’ve worked with a wide range of populations including special needs children, at risk families, patients receiving end of life care and their families, victims of trauma and abuse, and people going through difficult life transitions (adolescents graduating out of school, death of a loved one, divorce, incarceration of a partner, pregnancy, and pregnancy loss). Through these experiences, I have developed a passion for working with those experiencing compassion fatigue, whether they are a new parent, seasoned parent, caring for others, or working in a helping profession. I am also skilled in working with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and major life transitions.

My approach to counseling would be described as eclectic. My clients are all unique individuals, and are deserving of a unique approach tailored to their needs. I typically draw from CBT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and existential therapeutic techniques. I am excited to work with anyone interested in taking this step to achieve their goals.
